It’s often said that a piece of furniture adds the finishing touch to an architectural project. We believe furniture makes architecture.
The Pourtalès Collection is the second line of furniture created in collaboration by the duo Labaye Sumi.
The Pourtalès Collection was initially conceived for the five-star Hôtel de Pourtalès in Paris and embodies the couple’s signature approach: a relentless desire to bring together an industrial aesthetic with that of craftsmanship.
For this, they called upon the renowned Belgian marble specialist, Van Den Weghe, to create coffee tables, consoles, desks and benches, fitted with lacquered-metal legs. They also solicited the French Maître d’art Pierre Bonnefille to devise special finishes and textures for specific pieces, which glitter and sparkle in the sunlight.
